Deux artistes, nés face à l’horizon – l’un au bord de la mer, l’autre au cœur de l’arc lémanique – se retrouvent dans un dialogue sur la forme, la mémoire et la présence de la nature. Dans l’exposition SILHOUETTE, leurs œuvres s’entrelacent dans une conversation poétique où les lignes du paysage et la voix des matériaux occupent le centre de la scène.

Pierre-Olivier Barman, installé à Montreux, peint les Alpes suisses et le lac Léman avec une sensibilité particulière à l’âme des lieux. Ses peintures à l’huile, parfois quasi abstraites, laissent apparaître des silhouettes familières – un paysage intérieur qui navigue entre le réel et le rêve. Par des nuances de gris et des couches de couleur, il crée profondeur et silence.

Elena Berg Österdahl vient de l’île de Gotland, où l’horizon est bas mais infini. Dans ses sculptures en métal, enrichies de patines vivantes, cohabitent robustesse et fragilité. Les formes naturelles inspirent ses œuvres, qui tissent ensemble dureté et grâce, précision et émotion.

De la côte à la cime alpine, de l’acier à l’huile – dans la rencontre de ces deux artistes naît une silhouette commune. L’image de quelque chose de plus grand, un lien entre lieu et poésie.

Two artists, born facing the horizon – one by the sea, the other in the heart of the Lake Geneva crescent – come together in a dialogue about form, memory, and the presence of nature. In the exhibition SILHOUETTE, their works intertwine in a poetic conversation where the lines of the landscape and the voice of materials take center stage.

Pierre-Olivier Barman, based in Montreux, paints the Swiss Alps and Lake Geneva with a sensitivity attuned to the soul of the places. His oil paintings, at times almost abstract, reveal familiar silhouettes – an inner landscape that floats between reality and dream. Through shades of grey and layered color, he creates depth and silence.

Elena Berg Österdahl comes from the island of Gotland, where the horizon is low but infinite. In her metal sculptures, enriched with living patinas, robustness and fragility coexist. Natural forms inspire her work, which weaves together hardness and grace, precision and emotion.

From the coast to the Alpine peaks, from steel to oil – in the meeting of these two artists, a shared silhouette is born. The image of something greater, a connection between place and poetry.
